RK / Whistlepig Collab

RK Snares is proud to announce that we have partnered up with Whistlepig Whiskey!! In collaboration with this awesome company, we have built five Snares made from used Whistlepig whiskey barrels.

WhistlePig whiskey distillery is rooted in the rugged beauty of Shoreham, Vermont. Set on 500 acres of rye and experimental crop fields, the farm is surrounded by Vermont oak trees, fresh well water, maple sugar bush, and breathtaking views of the Green Mountains—creating an environment as distinctive as the whiskey itself.

At the heart of the farm, a meticulously restored 150-year-old dairy barn has been transformed into one of the world’s most unique whiskey-making distilleries. With a commitment to craftsmanship and innovation, the WhistlePig team distillswhiskey that is as complex, rare, and as unconventional as the place where it is made.

Each Snare drum we made was hand built using the provided barrels from Whistlepig. The barrels were broken down, dried, cut up, glued, and shaped. Once the shells were done, they were stained to match the aged barrels and finished in an oxidized satin. The Snares received their finishing touches with laser burned badges utilizing the raw cask that sat for over 10 years. Each snare is a testament to the fine craftsmanship at RK AND WhistlePig.
