ABOUT US:
It all started with a calling, a vision; to build the best drums in the world. A quarter of a decade ago, with partners and friends alongside, we did. Thousands of snares and kits were built, and have been played all around the world. From small stages and crowds to churches, and even on television with millions watching. Most important though was that the drums were played for an audience of One.
The mission has always been the same – To God be all the glory! Every drum built is a tool used to bring Him praise, to make a joyful noise!
R. K. is short for Risen King! Christ has risen and we are commissioned.
Matthew 28:5-6 - “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen.”
Mattthew 28: 18-20 - Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
I am truly blessed to have this opportunity to not only build snare drums, but more importantly to share about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be all the glory!

ABOUT THE DRUMS:
In 2000, I was just about to start my senior year of high school. One night I was hanging out with some friends at In-N-Out when I had an idea to draw up the design and plans to build a stave drum shell. That year, in wood shop, I made my first shells, and eventually switched to using Keller drum shells when I owned my own company.
I drew the RK Logo in 2004, but never used it. It was meant to be used at another time, and that time is now.
Returning to drum building again, I felt called to be different from the other companies. I was to go back to the beginning and build my own shells. Each shell is hand made with the finest woods and unique design and patterns.The wood is the finish, I don't use any veneers or wraps.
I will only be building 50 snares a year.
Shells range in different thickness, but usually are 1/2 inch thick.
I exclusively use Remo heads with the RK logos.
Brass hardware and 2.3 mm hoops come standard.
